All of McKenna's books are brilliant. The Forest Peopleby Colin M. Turnbull tells the story of an Older Culture tribe. Solid anthropology in a readable form. The Holographic Universeby Michael Talbot is one of the first and still most definitive books on the intersection of physics and consciousness. Hopi Survival Kitby Thomas Mails tells the story, like (better!) Hotevilla, of the Elders among the Hopi who the "Modern Hopi" would prefer to ignore. After all, there's money to be made from the BIA and all that coal. Read this book! The Population Explosionby Paul & Anne Ehrlich is the book that started all the discussion about population and its impact on ecosystems. This updated version is just as powerful as the original.
